COMPOSITION<\/p>\n

Zimec Injectable Solution is a clear, colourless or pale yellow coloured solution. Each ml contains 10 mg of ivermectin (80% 22,23-dihydro-avermectin B1a and 20% 22,23-dihydro-avermectin B1b).<\/p>\n

INDICATIONS FOR USE<\/p>\n

It is used in cattle and sheep for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites listed below.<\/p>\n

Gastrointestinal roundworms: Haemonchus placei, Ostertagia sp., O. ostertagi (adults, larvae stages, hypobiotic larvae), O. lyrate (adults, L4 larvae), Mecistocirrus digitatus (adults), Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata, C. pectinata, Cooperia spp., Nematodirus helvetianus (adults), N. spathiger (adults), Oesophagostomum radiatum, Strongyloides papillosus (adults), Bunostomum phlebotomum, Toxocara vitulorum<\/p>\n

Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparus<\/p>\n

Filariasis factors in the skin: Parafilaria bovicola<\/p>\n

Eyeworms: Thelezia spp. (adults)<\/p>\n

Warble fly larvae (cattle grubs): Hypoderma bovis (larvae), Hypoderma lineatum (larvae), Dermatobia hominis (larvae)<\/p>\n

Screw-worm fly (parasitic stages): Chrysomya bezziana, Cochliomyia hominivorax<\/p>\n

ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

Administration should be done only by subcutaneous injection. It is injected subcutaneously in the neck region or under the loose skin behind the scapula in cattle, in the armpit region or the loose skin behind the armpit in sheep. Asepsis and antiseptic conditions should be provided during the application. A dry, sterile injection needle and syringe must be used.<\/p>\n

It is applied at dose of 0.2 mg ivermectin \/ kg bw; i.e. 1 ml of Zimec Injectable Solution to 50 kg bw, unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian.<\/p>\n

If dose volume exceeds 10 ml, it should be divided and injected into different sites. This product is for subcutaneous administration only. Do not use intramuscularly or intravenously.<\/p>\n

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)<\/p>\n

Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment or for 35 and 42 days after the last treatment, respectively. Do not use in lactating cows and ewes producing milk for human consumption.<\/p>\n
