Yelvit Injectable Emulsion

COMPOSITION

Yelvit Injectable Emulsion is a light cream – white coloured emulsion. Each ml contains sodium selenite equivalent to 1 mg of selenium base and 60 mg of vitamin E.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

It is used to treat young animals and protect them from white muscle disease and muscle dystrophies following feeding the parent animals during their pregnancy period with diets containing selenium and vitamin E of poor amount or of no amount at all, in deficiency and convalescence periods, to boost physical strength of work and sport animals, in fertility and reproduction disorders caused by the insufficiency or the absence of the active substances, to increase fertility in breeding animals and to maintain the normal development of the fetus.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS

Use subcutaneously (SC) and intramuscularly (IM) in animals given and as shown in the table below. Shake the vial thoroughly before use. Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian, the pharmacological doses of selenium are 0.25 – 0.5 mg/animal in lambs and kids, 0.5 – 1 mg/animal in calves and foals, 5 – 10 mg/animal in pregnant cows and mares, 1 – 2 mg/animal in pregnant sheep and goats for preventive purposes; 1 – 2 mg/animal in calves and foals, 0.5 – 1 mg/animal in lambs and kids and 0.1 – 1 mg/animal in cats and dogs for treatment purposes.

Practical administration doses are as follows:

Calf – Foal 0.5 – 1 ml 1 – 2 ml
Lamb – Kid (1 week old) 0.25 ml 0.5 ml
Lamb – Kid (1 week – 1 month old) 0.5 ml 1 ml
Pregnant Cow – Mare (from the 5th month) 5 – 10 ml
Pregnant Sheep – Goat (from the 3rd month) 1 – 2 ml
Cat – Dog 0.1 – 1 ml

Single dose is sufficient for treatment. These doses can be repeated once per 2 weeks for four times at most when necessary.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)

Withdrawal period is 0 (zero) days for meat and milk.

MARKETING PACKAGING

20 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 250 ml in amber coloured glass vials inside cardboard boxes.
