COMPOSITION
Tenizol Oral Tablet is a white coloured round tablet with a notch line in the middle. Each tablet contains 50 mg of praziquantel and 500 mg of fenbendazole.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
It is used in dogs and cats for the treatment and control of parasitic infections caused by strip worms and roundworms named below.
Ascarides: Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina
Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala
Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis
Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Taenia pisiformis, T. taeniaeformis, T. hydatigena, T. ovis, T. multiceps, T. serialis, Mesocestoides corti, Spirometra spp.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
In dogs and cats, pharmacologic dose is 5 mg praziquantel / kg bw/day, 50 mg fenbendazole / kg bw/day; practical dose is 1 tablet / 10 kg bw. Treatment should be continued once in a day for 3 consecutive days. It can be given to dogs and cats by inserting into sausages (or wrapping in sausages), by breaking and mixing with other meals or by making the animals swallow directly. Before the application, there is no need to apply any diet to animals. Practical doses to be applied to dogs and cats are shown in the table, unless it is recommended otherwise by the veterinarian.
